Namikango Mission believes that church leaders are vital to the health and growth of churches. Therefore, leaders of the church should be grounded in biblical teaching which manifests in their leadership practices. These leaders should display vibrant spiritual lives rooted in spiritual disciplines and exhibit the tools necessary to bring their communities of faith into a deeper relationship with God. Additionally, church leaders should be competent in understanding and practicing the church ceremonies, preaching and teaching, counseling, and interacting with community members of different faith traditions.
The educational objective of the Spiritual Leadership stream is: “As a result of participating in the eight modules in Spiritual Leadership, students will develop the skills necessary to become effective leaders in rural and urban churches as it relates to their understanding of self, theology, and community development.”
